Guniz Baksi Sen

She was born in Izmir in 1965. She completed her secondary and high school education at Izmir American Girls' High School in 1983. She completed her dentistry education, which she started at Ege University Faculty of Dentistry, in 1988 and received the title of "Dentist".In 1995, she completed her doctoral thesis at the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology and received the title of "Dr. Med. Dent". 

She received the title of Associate Professor in November 2000 and Professor in March 2006. In addition to her duties in different administrative positions at the faculty and university, she served as assistant editor and editor of the Ege University Faculty of Dentistry Journal between 2000 and 2010.She actively served in two different committees, the Scientific Committee and the Education Committee, at the European Academy of Dentomaxillofacial Radiology for two terms between 2010-2012 and 2012-2014. She served as Deputy Director of Ege University Health Sciences Institute between 2012 and 2016.She has published more than 100 articles in national and international journals. She gave more than 90 papers, conferences and courses at congresses and meetings at home and abroad. Her research has received more than 800 citations. 

There are four books in which she wrote chapters and contributed. She is currently on the scientific advisory board of 4 international and 6 national journals and works at the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology at Ege University Faculty of Dentistry.
