Bilge Hakan Sen

In 1986, he completed his dentistry education at Ege University Faculty of Dentistry and received the title of "Dentist" and started his doctorate program at the Department of Dental Diseases and Treatment of the same faculty.In 1990, he received a YÖK scholarship and carried out preliminary studies on his doctoral thesis at ACTA Faculty of Dentistry, Department of Endodontics.He completed his thesis in 1994 and received the title of "Dr. Med. Dent".

In 1996, he received a TÜBİTAK research scholarship and carried out serial studies at the University of Connecticut Health Center, Faculty of Dentistry, Department of Endodontics.He was appointed to the position of "Associate Professor" in 1998.In 1999, he was selected as the "Most Active Researcher" by the Hans Genet Foundation and the European Association of Endodontology.In 2001, he received a scholarship from the Campbell Foundation and conducted serial studies on fungal infections in endodontics at the Department of Endodontics, Faculty of Dentistry, University of California-Los Angeles.In 2004, he received the title of "Professor".He retired in January 2013.Their joint research has so far received 14 awards at national or international level.More than 150 national or international articles have been published. 

He gave more than 300 conferences and courses at home and abroad.His research received more than 2000 citations and his h-index score reached 25.There is one book for which he translated and edited and two books to which he contributed by writing chapters.While continuing to work in his private practice, he continues modular endodontic training and courses for dentists.
